Sustainable Business workshops starting 2 June for Tamborine Mountain, Canungra and Beechmont region
Small business owners, operators and key staff have an opportunity to participate in a series of 3 free sustainability morning workshops at Tamborine Mountain on Tuesdays, 2 June, 7 July, and 4 August from 10am to 12.30pm.
" This new workshop series builds on the success of the 2008 workshops and is designed to help small business discover how important resilience is for local economies and small businesses in these days of global financial crisis," said Jan McGregor, program co-ordinator.
"We have had very positive feedback from these workshops and they provide an enjoyable opportunity for learning, networking and collaboration, together with practical tools," said Jan.
The workshops will be facilitated by popular sustainability educator, Dr Sally MacKinnon, and provide practical steps for small business to create a sustainable, prosperous and resilient business. Topics include an introduction to the Local Living Economy model, how to minimise your business risks and lighten your eco-footprint through Resource Sustainability; and how networking, collaboration and cooperation can leverage your business.
The workshops will be held at St Bernard's Hotel, 101 Alpine Terrace, Tamborine Mountain, central to Tamborine Mountain, and only ten minutes drive from Canungra for Canungra and Beechmont businesses.
