A Bird Watching Weekend in the Mountains.
Come on a residential weekend of discovery, observation and interpretation of some of Australia!s most beautiful birds with renowned naturalist Barry Davies*.
Set high in the Scenic Rim, Wild Mountains contains open eucalypt and sub-tropical rainforests, with each habitat perfect for watching its own suite of specialist birds.
November is a great time with all resident and migratory species present and birds either nesting or with fledged young. It should be possible to see over a hundred species including Albert!s Lyrebirds, Noisy Pittas, Paradise Riflebird, Green Catbirds and Wompoo Pigeons.
A presentation on Friday night will kick off the weekend. Bird watching will be spent between the different forest types working in large and small groups.
