Media Release - Workshop helps small business manage resource sustainability

Small business will have the opportunity to learn how to manage their ecological and energy resources at the next Building Sustainable Small Business free workshop at Tamborine Mountain from 10am to 12.30pm on Tuesday 7 July.

"The workshop will look at all the resources we use in our businesses; how to reduce and stabilize costs and reduce our eco-footprint; planning for new government regulations such as Queensland Water Commission requirements; opportunities to improve sustainability in our products, services and marketing; and localising our resource use," said Ms McGregor.

The popular workshop, conducted by sustainability educator, Dr Sally MacKinnon, will also include case studies, a Sustainability Checklist for small business; an introduction to the EcoBiz program and opportunities for grants and incentives.

The venue is St Bernard's Hotel, 101 Alpine Terrace, Tamborine Mountain. Light refreshments included. Download flyer at www.bssb.org.au
